New Construction Inspections:

In accordance with Alaska Statute (AS) 18.56.300, residential housing constructed on or after July 1, 1992, must undergo an approved inspection process to be eligible for financing by Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC)

Certified by ICC (International Code Council), all new construction is inspected from the footing through completion, and provides all information necessary to complete the AHFC-PUR102. The energy rating is included.

Existing Home Inspections

A standard home inspection includes a visual inspection of the following:

Grade and drainage
Foundation, basement or crawlspace
Exterior siding, trim, finish, doors, windows
Interior finish, door and window function

Plumbing, heating, electrical, heat recovery ventilators
Insulation, ventilation
Roof, flashing, gutters
Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors

Energy Ratings As Is Ratings and BEES Ratings

We provide new construction energy ratings or existing home energy ratings eligible for the AHFC Energy Rebate Program (http://www.ahfc.us/efficiency/energy-programs/ home-energy-rebate/). Ratings include the following:

An on-site assessment of both the exterior and the interior of your home.
A blower door test to determine air/heat leakage.

A combustion safety test
A ventilation assessment

Energy Ratings From Plans

Energy ratings from building plans to determine a 5+ or 6-star energy rating allowing the builder to weigh the value of Above Code Construction
